It is nearing the date of Singapore's National Day. It is apt that we celebrate the tenacity, endurance and intelligence of fellow Singaporeans.

Everyday, many Singaporeans test the limits of endurance and intelligence, in order to put their names in the record books.

I am proud to belong to the same country as the people who did:

• Longest Time for a Female with Palm Placed on a Car
• Fastest Cream Cracker Eating
• Orange Nose Push Furthest Distance in 30 Minutes

It is strange that with so many people like this, Singapore has only one Olympic medal so far. Something is wrong somewhere.

In any case, lets thank these courageous Singaporeans who attempt to do, what normal intelligent people will never think of doing.
