Interesting Observations

Lets face it, we read Straits Times, because we have no other choice (other than Today).

I usually read the Straits Times online and use Bugmenot to provide me with a login account.
(i implore you to use firefox with the Bugmenot plugin - just right-click to get the login)

What I observed in Tuesday's (2 Jan) paper (online version, you can check out the archive), on the Singapore Section, out of 18 local news stories, 10 news stories (excluding the one below) are devoted to HDB's Best Blocks.

I suppose these HDB "news" items written are in conjunction with the news item:

Property market shows signs of modest recovery

You tell me, but these 10 stories hardly qualifies as news-worthy. There is surely more important Singapore news to devoting 10 out of 18 stories on HDB's best blocks. It almost looks like a bouchure for HDB

Next up,

Ever wondered how to transport your beloved laptop aroung town to avoid being stolen?
Fear not, you can now disguise your laptop in a specially designed pizzabox.

Sounds like a joke.
